As an organisation we:
Collectively and strategically work to enhance the overall scope and quality of music education in SA
Collaboratively ensure the provision and delivery of accessible, sustainable, authentic, developmental and sequential life-long musical learning opportunities to all people across South Australia
Promote the significance of music education and the right of each child to quality music education throughout the schooling years.
Chart the current state of music education in SA
Develop initiatives to fill the existing gaps in services/provisions
Strategically advocate for music education funding, resources and recognition as a collective group
Partner and collaborate with arts organisations of SA to provide a broad range of progressive musical opportunities and projects that extend musical experiences beyond the classroom walls
Work closely with schools and professional associations to ensure that children and teachers are supported in delivering the Australian Curriculum for music
Acknowledge that diverse musical genres, including singing and vocal music, are relevant to a holistic music education
Provide streamlined and up-to-date information to schools, students and community members on relevant services, events, research and educational programs, as a way of facilitating ease of access to quality music learning opportunities (online/printed)
Consider collective projects where music is the driving force for social change
